8 and 9 will close on November 13 due to too many smolts being caught. The use of flashers/flies instead of flashers/spoons will reduce shaker catch....Areas may open later when smolts move out. At least that's what wdf is suggesting.

We just gave up, usually we just fish deep with big bait, and don't have too many problems with the lil shakers, but they are in every level of water around here, so Ill give em a few weeks to grow up and move on, then back to looking for those winter Chinook..

Area s 8-1, 8-2, and 9 open on 2/16. Fishermen are coming in and picking up stuff from me for the opener. I'm the Fishing dept manager at the Sportsmans Warehouse store in Everett.

Ill do that next time Im up there, I need a couple new purple flashers, and clear/purple hootchies

The fish were biting really well Sunday, we caught a couple Blackmouth and a Pink, that were legal but we released them anyway, maybe Ill catch them again in five years when they are 30 lb!!
