Oberon is just back from the beauty parlor

    Big Shakespeare buff; for years I have hauled my kids over to the summer season at Shakespeare Santa Cruz, in Santa Cruz, CA. Oberon is a character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," my kids' favorite comedy.

    Oberon's a male character, though, so the traditional pronoun for the boat is awkward . . .
    2013, 2014 & 2015 LD Award Recipient, and Unquestioned World Record Holder for Longest Tow to the Glasply Rendezvous, THREE years running

      Oh creative, I like it. I have been trying to find a name for my 26 foot Glasply, I am thinking Minerva but we will see.

        The sky's pretty the limit, mate. It's all good.

        An interesting sidebar to boat naming is the use of the VHF. A friend's boat is named "Revelry," and hailing him on the radio is surprisingly difficult. Try saying "revelry" three times in fairly rapid succession.
