Haha, if I could validate a semi I would... but the truck I get has to doulble duty as tow pig and take me 10 miles a day to a cramped parking lot. If it wasn’t for the cramped parking I’d go right for drw for sure

May want to consider a 13 or newer truck that has the legendary CP3 pump. Oh and a couple other things.

I’m open to advice, if I give a few dealerships a wishlist and a few months i should be able to find a pretty specific truck.

No matter what we tow with, we all try to avoid this.

Friends of ours own a local Chevy/GMC Dealership where we live. They carry pre-owned other brands also and we're definitely in truck country. If you send me an email, I can provide you their website(search their inventory) or reach out to them if you wish. They are inventory heavy right now due to year end sales/trade ins.

If I took a completely different tack... is there such a thing as a truck sub $5000 that can safely bumper tow 15k?

                  along these lines:

JJC looked pretty hard at doing something like that. A good option if you can get one that is reliable and capable for the right price.

As long as you don't need a CDL.

There was a Freightliner FlD 120 for sale on Camino Island, $15k, licensed as an RV. Stil for sale, big sleeper, looked like a good truck. No CDL needed.https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/r...528669919.html
                        Or this? https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...515318088.html

Figured you might chime in, haha. I’m rather hoping for a middle point between 1 Ton and that.

Edit:don’t get me wrong I love the idea, but I just don’t plan on putting enough miles on it to validate an extra vehicle that expensive.

Might have to bug him about that...

Something ugly but mechanically sound could fit the bill.
