First start went well, at first backfired out of the carb...rotated
distributor 180 out and it fired right off. After this vid clip, I
adjusted the timeing and mounted an oil gauge right to the engine
as sender unit was bad... Turned the key and fired right off,
proceeded to do my cam break in with no issues, temperature
came up and held steady as did my oil pressure. Went to bed last
night satisfied and very happy. Today I finished getting the leg
back in place, but still have to hook up the shift cable. All in all a
fantastic weekend, and ever so close now to getting it in the
water!!

Here is the link to my 1st engine start vid

Looking forward to it , not to much longer now that it runs, and
the leg is back in place.... have to hook up the shift cable, and
trouble shoot some electrical, If the week goes exceptionally well I
could get the boat wet this weekend if not then next weekend for
sure

remember Dell, the best advice I was given when I started this
project was to "take as long as needed to do the job right" . I am
not done yet, but really really close....will be pulling the lower
section of the leg off to change the impeller before I fire it off
again, as well as the shift cable still needs hooked back up the the
transome plate.

Will R.
