240-C first model year?

Can anyone tell me about model 240-C? I see it in the 1992.pdf catalog.

When was it first made? It looks a lot like an updated/renamed 2500/2510.

I also see i/o and o/b options. This makes me think my 1985 O/B is likely a model between 2510 and 240-C.

Any thoughts appreciated.
